Danish EU priorities

Political agreement regarding Denmark in the enlarged EU.

Prior to the Danish ratification of the Lisbon Treaty a political agreement regarding Danish EU policy in a globalised world was agreed upon between the Government (the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party), the Social Democrats, the Socialist People’s Party, the Danish Social-Liberal Party and New Alliance.

The People's Party and the Red-Green Alliance are not a part of the political agreement.

The political agreement of 21 February 2008 replaces the 2004-agreement, which was agreed upon previous to the planned ratification of the Constitutional Treaty.
